Great place. Staff was very friendly, rooms were clean and the food was grest.
We flew in and rented one of the older cabins and it was great for us. Be warned, though, that there is no wifi or television in the older cabins, so you need to provide your own entertainment. Having a real kitchen to cook in, with utensils, made up for it to me, although YMMV. Restaurant is wonderful (when it's open) if you're not into cooking! Runway is about 1/4 mile from the older cabins, so hauling baggage to the cabins from an airplane can be a chore. But, we had a great time and appreciated all the amenities.
The restaurant served great food and the staff was very friendly. Definitely stop by if you're in the area.
I love it here! Well run and very kind staff. I've stayed at the lakeside cabins and the ones by the airstrip. Love both areas! Make sure you check out the nature trail. There is a great bait shop close by and they have everything you need to fish! All so reasonably priced. Love the restaurant too! Dog and kid friendly!
We ate dinner at the Pelican restaurant. It took a while to be seated even though it wasn't busy. We watched a table of 8 walkout because no one took their order. It's hit or miss with service at this restaurant. The food is reasonably priced, nothing spectacular. The food was ok.
We come here once a year to a beautiful fly-in. Everything is almost perfect, from the gorgeous restaurant, to the cute shopping ship store. Only thing I would change to make the rooms more comfortable would be the pillows, & bedding. Sure would make our stay a lot better. Prices at restaurant run from $15/$25 per person, love their drinks, & cabins run approximately $150/$200. Great place over all with gorgeous nature.
Our favorite place to tent camp with a large group! Bathrooms are clean & cold/warm depending on the season. Great lake access & friendly staff. Security over Labor Day weekend was great. Such a friendly security guard!
Not bad, however the petting zoo we were disappointed because they only have chickens. They used to have chickens and goats and pigs, and the feeding machine that we put quarters in was completely empty.
